Our Yen Bai factory is ISO 22000:2018 certified for dried tea

Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Co. Ltd. has been certified to ISO 22000:2018, the international standard for food safety management systems, by Vinacontrol Certification Body. Certificate No. 31905-FSV was issued on 6 July 2026 and is valid until 5 July 2029. It covers the manufacturing and trading of dried tea (food chain category CIV) at our factory in Nghia Hung Village, Nghia Tam Commune, Yen Bai, now part of Lao Cai Province.

What ISO 22000:2018 is

ISO 22000 is the food safety standard published by the International Organization for Standardization. The 2018 edition brings together three things a tea buyer usually asks about separately:

• HACCP principles: hazard analysis and critical control points. Every step from fresh leaf intake to packed tea is assessed for biological, chemical and physical hazards, and the steps where a hazard can be controlled, such as drying temperature and time, sieving and foreign-matter removal, are monitored and recorded.
• Prerequisite programmes: the conditions that keep the factory fit for food production, such as cleaning, pest control, staff hygiene, equipment maintenance, water and storage.
• A management system: documented procedures, internal audits, corrective action, traceability from lot to garden, and management review, so the controls keep working between external audits.

Certification means an independent body has audited the system on site and found it to conform. Our certificate was issued by Vinacontrol Certification Body in Vietnam and carries the Vinacontrol CE mark together with the IAF mark printed on the document.

What it means for buyers of our tea

• Audit evidence you can forward. Importers in the CIS, the Middle East, South Asia and Europe increasingly ask their suppliers for a certified food safety system before the first container. The certificate, its scope and its validity can be checked by anyone; see the verification step below.
• Lot traceability. Each lot we ship can be traced back to the production date and the leaf it was made from. If a customer's laboratory raises a question about a lot, we can answer with records rather than memory.
• Consistent process control. The same drying, sorting and packing controls apply to every grade, from large-leaf OPA to CTC PD and tea dust, so the lot you receive matches the approved sample in moisture, cleanliness and cup.
• It works alongside the other checks we offer. Third-party inspection by SGS or Dai Viet Control can be arranged per shipment, and our GACC registration covers exports to China. ISO 22000 is the system behind those results, not a replacement for them.

Which site the certificate covers

The certificate names our Yen Bai factory. Goo Farm operates two factories of 7,000 m² each, in Phu Tho and Yen Bai; the Yen Bai site is the one certified under No. 31905-FSV. Both run the same withering, rolling, oxidation, drying and sorting lines, and both are described on our factory and gardens page.

How to verify the certificate

1. Scan the QR code printed on the certificate, or open the Vinacontrol certificate lookup and search for 31905-FSV.
2. Check that the company name reads GOO FARM TEA VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED, the scope reads "Manufacturing and trading of dried tea", and the status is current.
3. A copy of the certificate is published on our home page under Our certificates, next to our SGS, Dai Viet Control and GACC documents.
