Organic Snow Shan Premium is the top grade of our organic Snow Shan green tea. Only the downy bud and the first young leaf are picked, by hand, from old Shan tea trees growing above 1,000 metres in the mountains of northern Vietnam. The "Snow" in its name refers to the fine white down on the buds, and this grade shows the most of it.
Premium leaf and cup
The leaf is rolled into tight curls with plenty of white tips. It brews a clear golden yellow liquor with a fresh, clean aroma and a smooth taste with the natural sweetness that Snow Shan is known for. The infused leaf opens into whole buds and small leaves.
Choosing between the three grades
All three organic grades come from the same partner garden and the same processing. Premium is the finest pick, for specialty retail, gift tins and tasting menus. Organic Snow Shan Select adds a second leaf and is sorted by hand; Organic Snow Shan Standard is the fuller, more affordable cup. See all three in our organic tea range.
The garden is farmed to Vietnam's national organic standard, and each shipment can be tested by an independent laboratory. Ask for a Premium sample and compare it with the other two grades.

Organic Snow Shan Premium FAQ
Who buys the Premium grade? Specialty tea shops, gift-tin and tasting-menu brands and importers who sell organic Snow Shan as a premium loose-leaf tea. For a lower price per kilo, compare Organic Snow Shan Select and Organic Snow Shan Standard.
What is the difference between the three grades? They come from the same garden and the same processing. Premium is one bud and one young leaf with more white tips; Select is one bud and two leaves, sorted by hand for an even look; Standard is one bud and two leaves without the extra sorting, for a fuller cup at the lowest price of the three.
Is it certified organic for the EU or the US? No. The garden is farmed to Vietnam's national organic standard (TCVN 11041-6:2018); the tea does not hold EU or USDA organic certification, so it cannot be labelled organic in those markets. Each shipment can be tested by an independent laboratory.
How is it different from your Snow Shan Green Tea? Snow Shan Green Tea is our regular grade of the same tea. The organic grades come from a separate partner garden, are farmed organically and are sold in three plucking grades; see Snow Shan Green Tea to compare.
What is the minimum order? Organic Snow Shan is a small-harvest tea, supplied in smaller lots than our standard grades. Tell us the grade and the volume you need and we will confirm availability and lead time.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is Organic Snow Shan Premium packed? In bulk bags or vacuum aluminium bags in export cartons, or in private-label retail packs such as tins, boxes and zip bags. Ask for samples of all three grades before you order.
