Our tea factories and gardens in northern Vietnam
Factories in Phu Tho and Yen Bai (now Lao Cai Province), including our ISO 22000:2018-certified factory in Yen Bai, with fresh leaf from the finest tea gardens of northern Vietnam.
Modern technology, traditional craft
Our two factories are in Phu Tho and Yen Bai, two of the main tea provinces of northern Vietnam, close to the gardens that supply their fresh leaf.
Our Yen Bai factory, in Nghia Hung Village, Nghia Tam Commune (now part of Lao Cai Province), is ISO 22000:2018 certified by Vinacontrol (certificate No. 31905-FSV) for the manufacturing and trading of dried tea. See the certificate.
The lines combine machines for withering, rolling, CTC cutting, oxidation, drying and sorting with the experience of tea makers who check each batch against the approved sample. Our team brings more than 40 years of experience in tea.
Each factory covers 7,000 m². Together they make orthodox and CTC black tea, green tea, oolong, jasmine tea and matcha, with an annual capacity of 7,000 tons. We follow the tea from the garden and the harvest through processing to the finished, sorted grade.
From the finest tea regions of Vietnam
Fresh leaf comes from our own and partner gardens in Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Moc Chau and Nghe An. Each region gives the leaf a different character, which lets us match a grade to the cup a buyer wants.
We select the fresh leaf from each region with care, and every finished lot is compared with the approved sample before it is packed.
How our tea is made
Both factories turn fresh leaf into sorted export grades. The order of the steps decides the type of tea:
- Orthodox black tea: withering, rolling, oxidation and drying, then sorting by leaf size into grades from OPA and OP to fannings and dust.
- CTC black tea: withering, then cutting, tearing and curling the leaf into small granules, oxidation, drying and sorting into BOP, BP, PF and PD.
- Green tea: the fresh leaf is heated soon after plucking to stop oxidation, then rolled, dried and sorted into grades.
- Oolong tea: the leaf is partially oxidized, then rolled into small, tight balls.

Quality control from sample to shipment
- Every order starts from a sample you approve, and each finished lot is compared with that sample before it is packed.
- Moisture is kept within the specification of each grade, at most 6 to 7%.
- A certificate of analysis (COA) comes with each lot.
- Third-party inspection by SGS or Dai Viet Control, and Eurofins lab reports on pesticide residues and heavy metals, can be arranged for each shipment on request.
- Our GACC registration covers exports to China.

Do you buy tea from other factories? Our standard grades are all produced in our own factories in Phu Tho and Yen Bai. The one exception is organic Snow Shan, a specialty tea from a partner garden in the northern mountains.
