Cardamom Black Tea is Vietnamese orthodox Pekoe black tea flavored with cardamom, the spice that turns a cup of black tea into karak, chai or the cardamom tea served across the Middle East. It comes in two flavor strengths, 1.5% and 3%, and is flavored at our factory, ready to pack.
Cardamom black tea leaf and cup
The base is our Pekoe black tea, a heavy, firmly curled leaf that brews a strong orange-red liquor. Cardamom adds a warm, sweet and slightly resinous aroma. At 1.5% the spice is gentle and the malty tea leads; at 3% the cardamom is stronger, the usual choice for karak and milk tea. The photos show the Pekoe base leaf and its plain liquor; ask for a sample to judge the flavored tea.
Choosing the strength and the base
Choose 3% for karak, milk tea and tea bags, and 1.5% for loose-leaf packs drunk without milk. For a lighter spiced cup, compare our Cardamom Green Tea. For bergamot on the same black tea base, see Bergamot Black Tea.
See all flavored grades on our flavor tea page and the plain base on our Pekoe Black Tea page. Request samples of both strengths and taste them the way your customers drink tea.

Cardamom Black Tea FAQ
Which strength should I choose, 1.5% or 3%? 1.5% gives a gentle spice note for drinking plain; 3% gives a stronger cardamom aroma, the usual choice for karak and milk tea. We can send both strengths to compare.
Can I get cardamom on a different base? Our standard cardamom teas are this Pekoe black tea and Cardamom Green Tea on Pekoe green leaf. For another base, such as CTC for tea bags, ask us and we will check what we can make.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
