Vietnam Pekoe Black Tea
Pekoe is a shorter whole-leaf orthodox grade with a tightly twisted leaf. It brews a brisker, fuller cup than OP and is used for loose tea and as a leaf component in blends. Standard bulk packing loads about 16 tons per 40HC.

Pekoe is a whole-leaf orthodox grade with firm, well-curled leaves. The dry tea is black and heavy for its size. Like all our orthodox grades, it is rolled rather than cut. Vietnam Pekoe black tea is close to OP in size, and the two are worth tasting side by side.

Pekoe has its own liquor color in our range. It brews orange-red, with a yellow rim at the edge of the cup. A light floral note comes through in the aroma. On the palate it is malty and brisk, with a touch of citrus, and it ends sweet with only mild tannin. Its rich, full body is good plain and deep enough for those who add milk.

Whole and large broken leaf for tins, boxes and pouches sold as loose tea.
Adds body and a brisk, malty base to breakfast, Earl Grey and chai blends.
Leaf grades for pyramid and large-format tea bags where the leaf stays visible.
We ship whole-leaf orthodox grades mainly to the CIS (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan) and the Middle East, where loose black tea is the daily cup.
Pekoe Black Tea FAQ
How does Pekoe differ from OP? Pekoe leaf is shorter and more tightly twisted than OP, and the cup is a little stronger. Both are whole-leaf grades without tips.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is Pekoe Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 16 tons of Pekoe Black Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
