Bergamot Black Tea is Vietnamese orthodox Pekoe black tea flavored with bergamot, the citrus fruit whose aroma defines Earl Grey. It comes in two flavor strengths, 1.5% and 3%, flavored at our factory and ready to pack.
Bergamot black tea leaf and cup
The base is our Pekoe black tea: a heavy, firmly curled black leaf that brews an orange-red liquor with a yellow rim. Bergamot adds a bright citrus aroma over the malty tea. At 1.5% the bergamot stays in the background and the tea leads; at 3% the citrus is stronger, the usual choice for tea bags and milk tea. The photos show the Pekoe base leaf and its plain liquor; ask for a sample to judge the flavored tea.
Choosing the strength and the flavor
Pick 1.5% for loose-leaf packs where the tea should lead, and 3% for tea bags or for drinkers who take milk. For the classic Earl Grey profile on black tea, compare our High Quality Earl Grey Black Tea; for bergamot on green tea, see Bergamot Green Tea.
All flavored grades are listed on our flavor tea page, the plain base is on our Pekoe Black Tea page, and our Vietnam orthodox black tea guide explains the leaf grades. Request samples of both strengths.

Bergamot Black Tea FAQ
Which strength should I choose, 1.5% or 3%? 1.5% gives a gentle bergamot note that lets the malty black tea lead; 3% gives a stronger aroma, the usual choice for tea bags and milk tea. We can send both strengths to compare.
How is Bergamot Black Tea different from Earl Grey? Bergamot Black Tea uses a bergamot flavoring; our Earl Grey teas use a classic Earl Grey flavoring, which is based on bergamot. We can send both samples to compare, or see High Quality Earl Grey Black Tea.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is Bergamot Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. About the same as Pekoe black tea, 16 tons per 40HC. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
