BOP Black Tea, or Broken Orange Pekoe, is the largest granule in our CTC range. It keeps the most leaf character of our four CTC grades. We produce this Vietnam CTC BOP black tea in Yen Bai and Phu Tho, at our own tea factories.

The dry tea shows big, firm granules, black to dark brown. Being large, they color the water a little more slowly than PF or PD. The liquor ranges from deep amber to ruby red, and the aroma is fresh and invigorating. The taste is strong, malty and smooth, and it keeps its strength with milk and sugar.

Uses and Main Markets
A strong, bright cup that holds up to milk, sugar and spices.
Small, even particles release colour and strength in a short steep and run evenly on tea-bag machines.
Adds body and a brisk, malty base to breakfast, Earl Grey and chai blends.
CTC grades go mainly to South Asia and the Middle East (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, the UAE), where strong tea is brewed with milk and sugar.
BOP Black Tea FAQ
What does CTC mean? Crush, tear, curl: the leaf is passed through rollers that cut it into small, even granules. CTC tea brews faster and stronger than orthodox tea and is the standard for milk tea.
BOP, BP, PF or PD: which CTC grade should I buy? BOP is the largest granule and the brightest cup; BP is a little smaller; PF (fannings) and PD (dust) are the smallest and strongest, used mostly in tea bags.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is BOP Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 23 tons of BOP Black Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
