Powder dust is the finest grade we make from green tea. Vietnam Powder Dust green tea comes from broken leaf and stems, ground into a fine powder. Together with fannings, it gives the quickest and strongest cup in our green tea range, which is why it goes mainly into tea bags and extracts.
The finest green tea grade
The dry tea looks like a fine powder. It brews a dark green liquor with a fresh, clean fragrance. The taste is strong and vegetal, distinctly bitter and mildly astringent. Fine particles release color and taste very quickly, so a short brewing time is enough. Dust is the grade to choose when speed and strength matter more than the look of the leaf.

Powder Dust Green Tea FAQ
Is powder dust green tea the same as matcha? No. Matcha is stone-ground from shade-grown leaf for drinking whole. Powder dust is the fine fraction sieved from regular green tea and is used for extraction and tea bags.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is Powder Dust Green Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 28 tons of Powder Dust Green Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
