Vietnam Stalk Green Tea
Stalk green tea is the stem fraction separated during sorting. It gives a light, sweet cup and is the lowest-cost green grade, used as a base for scented tea, as blend filler and for extract. Standard bulk packing loads about 15 tons per 40HC.

Vietnam Stalk green tea is a grade of tender tea stems and stalks rather than leaf. Our guide to green tea grades lists it as a group of its own, apart from the whole-leaf, broken and fine grades.
Tender stems instead of leaf
The pieces measure about 0.5 to 1 cm and keep a green color. They brew a green-yellow infusion with a clean, fresh aroma. In taste, stalk is close to our leaf grades: strong and vegetal, with marked bitterness and mild astringency. The difference shows in the pack, where you see short green stems instead of leaves.

Our green tea goes mainly to North Africa, Central Asia and the CIS; tell us your market and we will propose the grade that sells there.
Stalk Green Tea FAQ
What is stalk green tea used for? Mainly as a cheap base for scented and flavoured green teas, as filler in blends and for extraction.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is Stalk Green Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 15 tons of Stalk Green Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
