Tea Dust Black Tea Grade 1, or Dust 1, is the first dust grade of our orthodox black tea. It is a fine, blackish powder. In Southeast Asia, Vietnam tea dust Grade 1 is also sold as powder black tea, D1 black tea, serbuk teh, bubuk teh hitam or teh tarik dust.
A rich cup for milk tea
As a dust grade, Grade 1 brews faster and darker than fannings or broken grades. The cup is rich and full-bodied, with a red liquor showing orange tones. Its aroma is invigorating with a floral trace, and the taste is malty and brisk with citrus, ending sweet and lightly tannic. The deep color stays strong after milk, sugar and ice go in.
Grade 1 sits next to the economy dust Grade 2 in our tea dust category. Our tea dust guide matches each grade to its uses. Our Yen Bai factory holds ISO 22000:2018 certification (Vinacontrol, No. 31905-FSV). Request a Grade 1 sample and test it in your own milk tea recipe.
