Dust 1 is the finest regular grade of our orthodox black tea, sieved below the fannings. It gives a very fast, dark and strong brew, which suits tea bags, instant tea and extracts. Dense particles load about 28 tons per 40HC.

Dust 1 is the first grade of orthodox tea dust: a fine, almost black powder sorted from our black tea. Despite the name, it is clean, graded tea from the same leaf as our leaf grades, not sweepings. Vietnam Dust 1 black tea suits buyers who need speed, strength and color in the cup.
A fast, full-bodied Dust 1 brew
Dust brews faster and darker than any other grade. It gives a red liquor with orange tones and a gently floral aroma. The cup is rich and full-bodied. It tastes malty and brisk, with a citrus note and a sweet close that has mild tannin. It keeps its color and taste with milk and sugar, so it suits milk tea and bubble tea as well as tea bags.

Uses and Main Markets
Small, even particles release colour and strength in a short steep and run evenly on tea-bag machines.

Broken, fannings and dust grades go mainly to tea-bag packers and blenders in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, and to extract makers in Southeast Asia.
Dust 1 Black Tea FAQ
Is tea dust low quality? Dust is a particle size, not a quality level. Dust 1 is sorted from the same leaf as the leaf grades and is the standard choice where a quick, strong infusion is needed.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is Dust 1 Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 28 tons of Dust 1 Black Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
