Vietnam F1 Black Tea (Fannings 1)
F1 is the first fannings grade of our orthodox black tea: small, even particles sieved below BPS. It brews strong and fast, so it is the standard grade for tea bags and a common choice for extract. Standard bulk packing loads about 26 tons per 40HC.

F1 is the first grade of orthodox fannings. Fannings are the small, finely broken particles that pass through the finer sieves when dried black tea is sorted. Vietnam F1 black tea consists of small, nearly black particles from rolled leaf, not from CTC cutting.
F1 particles and cup
Small particles release color and taste in a short time. F1 gives a strong, lively cup: a red liquor with orange tones, a scent with floral hints, and a malty, brisk taste with citrus. The finish is sweet and mildly tannic. Fine particles keep their taste with milk, sugar and ice, so F1 suits milk tea as well as plain tea bags.
Compare F1 with other orthodox black tea grades, read our orthodox guide, or see the guide to Vietnam tea dust for all fannings. Send us a sample request. Our Yen Bai factory is ISO 22000:2018 certified.

Fanning F1 Black Tea FAQ
What are fannings? Fannings are the small particles left after the leaf grades are sorted out. They brew quickly and strongly, which is exactly what tea bags need.
What is the difference between F1 and Dust 1? F1 particles are larger than dust. Dust brews even faster and darker and loads a little more per container (28 tons against 26).
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is F1 Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 26 tons of F1 Black Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
