Vietnam BPS Black Tea (Broken Pekoe Souchong)
BPS is an orthodox black tea grade with small, flaky leaf, a little smaller than PS. It brews quickly to a golden-red cup with a malty, brisk taste, which is why tea-bag packers and extract makers use it most. Goo Farm supplies BPS in bulk with standard export packing, about 22 tons per 40HC.

BPS means Broken Pekoe Souchong. It is the next size down from PS: neat, flaky pieces of rolled leaf, separated on sieves after drying. Vietnam BPS black tea has a strong, intense taste that stays on the palate after each sip. Tea bag packers and extract makers use it widely.
How BPS brews
The small flaky pieces infuse quickly. The infusion is reddish gold, touched with orange, and the aroma carries light floral notes. In the mouth, BPS is malty and brisk, with citrus and a sweet aftertaste that is only mildly tannic. It is strong enough to keep its character with milk and sugar, so it also works for milk tea.

Small, even particles release colour and strength in a short steep and run evenly on tea-bag machines.
A fast, strong infusion for extraction, instant tea and ready-to-drink production.
Adds body and a brisk, malty base to breakfast, Earl Grey and chai blends.
Broken, fannings and dust grades go mainly to tea-bag packers and blenders in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, and to extract makers in Southeast Asia.
BPS Black Tea FAQ
What does BPS stand for? Broken Pekoe Souchong. It is a broken orthodox grade, sorted by sieve after drying. Its leaf is smaller than PS and larger than fannings.
Is BPS good for tea bags? Yes. The small, flaky leaf brews fast and fills tea-bag machines evenly, so BPS is one of the most common grades for tea bags.
What is the difference between BPS and PS? PS has a larger, flaky leaf. BPS is smaller, brews faster and loads more per container: about 22 tons per 40HC, against about 18 tons for PS.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is BPS Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 22 tons of BPS Black Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
