Vietnam TH Black Tea
TH is a large, open, coarse-leaf orthodox grade with a lighter cup. It is an economical leaf for flavoured teas and budget loose packs and a filler in blends. Because the leaf is bulky, a 40HC holds only about 13 tons.

TH is an orthodox black tea grade with short, wiry leaves. It is rolled and sorted, not cut into granules, and our buying guide lists it with the whole-leaf grades OPA, OP and Pekoe. Vietnam TH black tea is a practical leaf for blends. It is bold enough to carry a flavoring and forms part of the base of our own Earl Grey teas.
TH in the cup
The short leaf gives a bold, lively tea with a light, natural sweetness. Its astringency is well balanced, and it leaves the mouth crisp and fresh. Brewed plain, it shows the character of the leaf. In a blend, it holds bergamot, fruit or flower flavors well. Ask for the specification sheet with your sample. It gives the liquor, appearance, aroma and flavor of the lot we offer.

Uses and Main Markets
Economical leaf for scenting and flavouring: Earl Grey, jasmine and fruit teas.
Adds body and a brisk, malty base to breakfast, Earl Grey and chai blends.
Whole and large broken leaf for tins, boxes and pouches sold as loose tea.
Broken, fannings and dust grades go mainly to tea-bag packers and blenders in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, and to extract makers in Southeast Asia.
TH Black Tea FAQ
Who buys TH black tea? Flavoured-tea packers who need a cheap leaf base, and blenders who want a visible large leaf at a low price.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is TH Black Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 13 tons of TH Black Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
