OP green tea is a whole-leaf grade with a long, twisted leaf and a fresh, clean cup. It is bought for loose green tea, pyramid bags and as the base for our Jasmine OP green tea. Standard bulk packing loads about 17 tons per 40HC.

OP stands for Orange Pekoe, a name used for whole-leaf tea. Vietnam OP green tea is made of big, well-rolled leaves. It is the leaf we use for our Jasmine OP Green Tea, and it suits loose-leaf packs well.
Orange Pekoe leaf and liquor
OP has the same big, rolled leaf as BOM, but the liquor is bright yellow rather than green. The smell is clean and fresh. The flavor is strong and vegetal. Bitterness is clear, while the astringency stays mild. Lots of the same grade can still vary with the garden and the season. For that reason, every OP order we ship is equal to or better than the approved sample.

OP Green Tea FAQ
What is the difference between OP and OPA green tea? OPA has a larger, more open leaf and a lighter cup; OP is more tightly twisted and loads more per container (17 against 14 tons).
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is OP Green Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 17 tons of OP Green Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
