Vietnam OPA Green Tea
OPA is the largest whole-leaf grade in our green tea range: long, open leaf with a smooth, light cup. It is bought for loose green tea where a bold leaf is expected. Because the leaf is bulky, a 40HC holds about 14 tons.

OPA is a whole-leaf grade with large leaves. Vietnam OPA green tea keeps its leaves slightly open rather than tightly rolled. Buyers choose it for loose-leaf tea when they want the size of the leaf to show.
Open leaf, yellow liquor
The leaves are large and a little open. In the cup, OPA gives a bright yellow infusion with a fresh, clean scent. It tastes strong and vegetal, clearly bitter, with a light astringency. Next to BOM, the OPA leaf is more open, and its liquor is yellow rather than green.

OPA Green Tea FAQ
Who buys OPA green tea? Loose-tea importers in Central Asia and the CIS who want a large, attractive leaf in the pack.
Can I get a sample and a COA? Yes. We are always happy to send samples, so you can check the quality before you order. The sample you approve is the reference for the whole order. A certificate of analysis comes with each lot, and SGS or Dai Viet Control inspection and Eurofins lab testing can be arranged per shipment.
What is the minimum order? There is no minimum order; the price depends on the quantity. You can also combine several grades in one 20ft or 40HC container, and we will confirm how many tons of each fit.
What payment terms do you accept? Flexible terms: T/T, L/C or a combination of the two, agreed for each order and written into the proforma invoice. Payment goes only to the company account of Goo Farm Tea Vietnam Company Limited, never to a personal account.
How is OPA Green Tea packed, and how much fits in a container? PP/PE bags, kraft paper sacks, export cartons or vacuum aluminium bags. A 40HC container holds about 14 tons of OPA Green Tea with standard bulk packing. Private-label bags and retail packs are available on request.
